Shooting several shoe styles for vertical layouts is one of the challenges we faced in our efforts to produce great images for web usage. When a collection necessitated a group shot of more than 2 styles, the nested shot was a clear front runner allowing for greater visual presentation and product visibility. Collaboration is key when producing a photoshoot; kick-off meetings, site scouting and tight communications bring results.
Location, Location, Location
Backgrounds rarely get the praise they deserve. The right location can speak volumes to the viewer. The right backdrop can convey purpose, authority, energy and myriad other complex ideas. The additional effort in carefully selecting the perfect location or setting provides huge returns in the final image selects.
